About Me
Wendy Jagger is a professional artist based in Mansfield, in Victoria’s high country. Her career has spanned many years, beginning with a degree in art education, and teaching in secondary and tertiary institutions, specializing in ceramics, life drawing, and painting. Following several years of living in Switzerland and working as program director and 2IC of an international Scout outdoor center, Wendy settled to begin her married life and small family in the Dandenong Ranges. During this time, she focused on studying ceramics and began exhibiting regularly.
In 2008, she moved with her family to Mansfield, owner building their home and studio. In 2010, Wendy opened Wendy Jagger Studio, a creative hub where she teaches classes and workshops in ceramics and painting.
Wendy exhibits regularly with her ceramics and paintings, both in group and solo shows. Her work is represented in private, corporate, and public collections, including Bendigo Art Gallery, Manningham City Council, and Mt Buller RMB. Commission clients include the National Gallery of Victoria, the Victorian State Government, and Mazda Australia. She has been a finalist in numerous art prizes, gaining an Honorable Mention in the International Ceramics prize in Mino, Japan, and winning the Mansfield section of the Mt Buller Art Prize. Most recently, in 2022, Wendy was a finalist in the esteemed Calleen Art Award, exhibited alongside Archibald prize winners and finalists.
Wendy Jagger’s artworks are available via her website and in selected galleries in Victoria and interstate.
