About Me
Alexandra Parratt joined AVTES (Nationally Recognised Workplace Based Hospitality Training Provider) as a Client Relationship Manager, after having worked in the VET sector for the past 17 years; as a result she has built a strong knowledge base working in many different roles within the sector. Alex has previously project managed the development of student learning and assessment materials, after seeing an opportunity she created a commercial footprint that supported the roll out of Training Packages at the Innovation & Business Skills Australia (IBSA), one of the National Industry Skills Councils (ISC’s). She naturally progressed into a more dynamic and challenging role at Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Australia, a ministerial company, working with a much larger portfolio. Over this time, Alex developed a strong understanding of Training Packages, Competency Standards and has assisted RTO’s Australia wide.
More recently, Alex moved to AVTES following her role with DNA Training Solutions where she was placed as a Business Development Manager/Training Manager conducting training needs analysis and providing training solutions for Arboricultural Companies, Vegetation Management Contractors for Victorian Utility companies and Councils. Prior to this, Alex worked with the Victorian Employers’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI) where she was placed for 2.5 years as an Apprenticeships Adviser and Field Consultant. Alex has worked extensively with employers, school careers practitioners, students and parents to help find the right traineeship or apprenticeship pathway for individual students and groups by discussing the benefits, challenges and realities of the many Traineeships and Apprenticeships available to young Australians.
Alex's extensive knowledge and experience serves her well within her role at AVTES. 2022 will see her develop increased opportunities for business' and employees in the North East to participate in Hospitality Industry training and development opportunities.
